Day Camps offer many traditional Scouting activities like shooting sports (archery, BB gun shoot & sling shots), Crafts, Nature Study, Games, and Fishing. While the program is not specifically achievement-oriented, Cub Scouts have many opportunities to earn some requirements toward adventures and participating in Scout Camps allow scouts to work towards their Outdoor Activity Award.

Reminder: Each current scout will be reclassified to their next level rank on June 1st. Therefore, if your scout is a Tiger now, he will be a "Wolf" come Day Camp registration time.

Each Tiger Cub (1st grader) must have an adult partner (parent or grandparent) attend camp with them each day, and one additional adult is required for every five additional boys to escort the “adventurers” through camp. The camp already will have a schedule of planned activities and a camp itenerary for each group. Adults are there to oversee the safety of the scouts, and guide them and/or assist during activities.

IMPORTANT: At least two (2) adults per day are required to attend Day Camp each day. Parents can alternate days during the week. Early planning is underway.

NCAC offers Camperships to qualifying scouts on a first come, first served basis. Don't miss out on this opportunity, register early, prior to April 1st.

Not available on the week of Prince William District Day Camp? Chat with fellow Den/Pack leaders & families. Perhaps an alternate date will work for you at Camp Snyder in Haymarket or Occoquan Regional Park or other area parks. Check here for dates on alternate camp locations.
